Program 2008 VW Passat ID48 All Keys Lost with iProg Clone

 

Here’s an easy way to program new key to a 2008 Vw Passat under all keys lost situation with iprog clone programmer. it may work on other cars.

I had a used OEM Key from another car. Just removed the board, and put it in a new shell case with Xhorse Super chip that I Generated as TP-23 VW Megamos 48.

The procedure:
–         Remove the BCM that is located behind the glove box.
–         Read the eeprom 95320 (You don’t need to unsolder it, just read it with any programmer. I use the Revelprog programmer, I like it)
–         Save the original bin file (I usually create 2 original files, just in case)
–         Open the iProg and in the menu, choose CAR/Key/Key auto and VW.
–         Select the Passat Megamos 48 (Select one that works for you)
–         Load the original Bin file that you saved from the BCM, and click View ID: (The iProg will decrypt the file and it will show the CS, Login code, and the VIN Number:
–         Connect the RFID adapter with iProg (Make sure that the jumper on the RFID Adapter has to be in AUTO)
–         After you connect the RFID read the Chip 48. The message should be “The Key is not in this IMMO”, if you have message “Bad Transponder” is used key, if you have “No transponder” try to move the key to find the right position until you get the message “The Key is not in this IMMO”

In my situation, the BCM had two keys, so I wrote the new key as Key 3, saved the new file and wrote it back to the BCM, I went to the car and I saw in cluster that only my key was programmed 1-3, so I wrote the same key three times.

Back to the procedure:

I preferred to use Xhorse Super Chip XT27A, every time you generate the chip, it will take different ID, so you can use only one chip for all of the following steps:

–If your BCM has two or 3 or 4 keys in memory, you have to follow these steps:
o  Write Key 1, save the file as key1 or anything you want, Click View ID and you’ll see that the First Key ID will be changed to the new key which match with the ID from the chip.
o  Generate again the Xhorse Chip to TP-23 VW Megamos 48 (it will get another ID)
o  Write Key 2, save the file as key2 or anything you want, Click View ID and you’ll see that the Second Key ID will be changed to the new key which match with the ID from the chip
o  Generate again the Xhorse Chip to TP-23 VW Megamos 48 (it will get another ID)
o  Write Key 3, save the file as key3 or anything you want, Click View ID and you’ll see that the Third Key ID will be changed to the new key which match with the ID from the chip…..and so on.

If you have finished with replacing all keys in BCM with the new ID taken from the Xhorse Chip, write back the latest file you have saved to the BCM, install the BCM back to your car, and start the car.

No ABS Coding Lost

This is optional:
After that, you can use a Key Programmer to get the immo data, and learn the new key, so your car will have the key you want, not all keys programmed from the steps above.

How to add BMW CAS3/CAS3+ Smart Key /Fob by X-PROG 3

 

Launch IMMO Pro/Pad or X-prog 3 demo: how to add BMW CAS3/CAS3+ Smart Key /Fob.

Please make sure you connect the diagnostic connector and Anti-theft programmer at the same time.

Select “IMMO” and then “BMW”

Select “Anti-theft matching”.

Select “Automatic detection”.

Select “Vehicle Information”, we can see the key frequency is 315Mhz.

Back to the main menu and select “Key Operation”.

For key adding, there are 3 steps to follow:
1st step: backup key data
2nd step: to add a smart key, we need to disable the lost key firstly, because only 2 smart keys are allowed for one car.
3rd step: start key adding

Select “Key data Operation”.

Step 1. Select “Backup key data”.

Reading key data.

Follow the on-screen guide to operate.

Tap “Backup” and save it.

Backup key data successfully.

Step 2. Select “Key enable /disable”.
PS: if we are not adding a smart key, we can skip this step.
-Reading the key data…
-From the next page, we can see key 1 is the working key because it is activated.
Key 2 is the lost key because only these 2 keys are used. Select “Key 2” and tap “Disable”.
-Disable succeed.

Step 3. Select “Key Learning”.
-Make sure the network and X-Prog3 have been connected well and tap “OK”.
-Tap “NO” (Not all keys lost).
-Follow the on-screen guide.
-Key data read successfully.
-Read succeed, tap “Yes” to save the data, input the name to save it, save succeed.

Choose one blank position, we select Key 3 here, select “Key Generated by programmer”.
Put the new key to be learned into the programmer.

Tap “Yes” to ensure the current key is a smart one.

Read the warning carefully and make sure we have met all the requirements and then tap “Yes” to continue.

Key generated succeed.

Please try to start the BMW car by the new key, it if can’t start the car, please try to execute DME synchronization or DLE synchronization function according to the situations.
Enter “Vehicle Information” to check and we can see ignition switch status is key 3 the one we chose before.

Program Benz AKL with Autel IM608 or VVDI MB or CG MB

Have Mercedes Benz with all keys lost (AKL), to program new key using Autel MaxiIM IM608 or VVDI MB or CG MB programmer? Let’s listen to experienced user’s sharing.

1. Autel MaxiIM IM608 program key for MB: longer time when getting password

Tip:

1). Good internet connection, if it takes too long time to get the password (for example 20 minutes to 1 hour), you probably have bad wifi connection, always use good wifi connection, not use cell phone.

Then cancel it and retry again, it might take 10-13 min.

One user feedback: mine always says 10-50 min (even though I had a w207 e350 last night take 64 min.

2). It’s quicker to use IM608 to work on MB on bench .

One user feedback: use bench job if you want obtain speed and fast password 5 min

3). Compared with VVDI MB and CGDI MB, Autel IM608 won’t need token to calculated the password.

4). Add key with autel IM608 is ok, add key will take about 5 minutes. AKL then it can take time….

2. VVDI MB program Benz key when all keys lost: done in 5mins

Xhorse VVDI MB takes 4 minutes to collect data, and 2 minutes to calculate.

1). VVDI MB for the win always and im608 only backup;

2) 100% success so far with Autel.

3) Got the VVDI MB out and MB AKL job done in 5 minutes, I get 1 free token each day so can add a key for free. 2 tokens needed for akl but I’m happy to pull the Ezs and solder to get password if needed.

How to Program Renault AES 4A Smart Key AKL via OBD

As we know all programming 4A keys for renault clio v and captur are not stable with all tools, im508, im608, obdstar, Lonsdor and sometimes UCH crashes and dealer UCH may cost about 1000 Euro. Is it safe to do all keys lost via OBD?  How to retrieve PIN if bricks UCH (BCM)?

As long as obdstar server is working everything is fine. Obdstar has done Renault flawlessly. Renault AES 4A smart key no worries including all keys lost. Just as a precaution, put a stabilized power supply or put the clamps on another car to start, during programming, in order to avoid breaking the Uch (BCM).
Don’t forget to use the green adapter, which will allow you to precode the new map.

The latest version 31.08 server stops working. Obdstar with the new updates, Renault vehicles from 2015 onwards will not working properly. Because when obdstar retrieves the Pin code on the server, it virginizes the HFM, and if the server does not work, you can no longer reprogram a new map, map you find yourself with a blank HFM, and impossible to reprogram a car.

Autel IM508/IM608/Xtool

IM508/Im608 used to work no issue with clio 4 and Captur. Work perfect and fast! I have made several as well (clio 4 2018 akl, 2015 Clio 4 etc).

In Clio IV, Capture and in dacia with BCM johnson is where there is data loss due to variations in voltage, it is best to back up the flash memory at the beginning of the process, the most stable equipment are autel and xtool for Renault.
Xtool x100 pad3 is the best programmer for Renault, id4A. Reed pin 1 minutes safe job, and add key, or all keys lost.   With Renault trafic from 2017, it works well with Xtool pad 3 as well.

Normally using a voltage stabilizer there should be no problem, just first make the memory backup dflash xtool and autel have that option in case something happens you can restore it. Remember to have good internet connection because the calculation is online.

But Autels servers are down either. There is a big problem with recovering the Pin code, when putting the virgin Hfm.
Because then, it is impossible to reprogram the client card and the new card. 2015 Clio 4 new card no luck on OBD, Pulled HRM read dflash get pincode programmed new card in minutes.

He should remove his connection system to the servers, because it’s too risky when it doesn’t work. Zedfull failed on obd also. The car breaks down and is forced to pull hfm read dflash dump get pincode or go to Renault’s to get the PIN code. For repair, you need to retrieve the PIN and ISK code by logging into the HFM and read the HFM Flash.
Or, pick up the code directly from a Renault dealership who wants to give it away with a cash payment.

Is it still possible to read the pin code directly on the HFM?

Yes because the flash inside the HFM is not corrupt.

If HFM’s a virgin, but yet you can’t retrieve the data from the HFM flash through the OBD socket.
You have to do it on the table, to be able to retrieve the information by welding some wires directly to the HFM, and using Abrites/vvdi prog/orange5, to read and retrieve the data.

*(If your hfm was a virgin you can’t get the code back
Virgo = no code nor isk
obdstar is back into programming, it deletes the original cards and does not program.
Reschedule the HFM first.
Check with Renault Ecuador Tool, and it was very virgin (HFM blank) and no card to register.
Then use vvdi prog to recover flash data on hfm.)

So avoid programming keys and cards that use the AES 4A transponder, otherwise, your vehicle will not start again and the client keys will not work either.

SMOK will do automatic reading, without internet connection (without server), to avoid major problems.  At least with Smok UHDS , you don’t need to connect to the internet, so you can do Clio 4 and Captur phase 2 (after 2015) and find yourself with Hfm virgin, because of their Obdstar or Autel servers that are constantly rubbing right now.

2003 Saab 9-3 All Keys Lost Programming Tips

Question:
2003 Saab 9-3 all keys lost, Can xhorse vvdi key tool plus do this key?
I live in the US and they haven’t sold Saab here in a very long time.
Ii know Saab uses a tech2 as their scan tool? Can tech2 do the key?

Solution:
If USA cars are like EU cars both generations exist as 2003 model.
1) If it’s 1st gen it’s twice module under the seat. Need to read the Motorola processor and write key to t5.
2) If it is the second generation 9-3 it is CIM module out (behind the steering wheel) and need to read the eeprom. Read it in circuit, because it’s pretty bad stuck with protective coating. There is big chance to damage the board if you try to remove it.

You can read dump with vvdi prog and make file key with vvdi2.
GM tech2 can not do keys in all keys lost situation. Was working for Saab. The dealer solution is new module with keys. If you have used module with key programmed to it, it is pretty easy to adapt it to the car with tech2 tho.

FBS4 Mercedes Keys Programming Solutions

Let’s start with a hot topic: looking for a solution to Program FBS4 Mercedes Keys.

Yes , main dealer tool with main dealer security access.

The way for a locksmith to access these tools or is dealer only is: if you have very deep pockets and willing to pay the price Mercedes want then of course you can buy.

For example: the good way to do FBS4 keys on 2014 and up Mercedes-Benz vehicles: you go to the dealer and you pay a thousand dollars and you get the key done, that’s the only way, it’s no happening, so give it up, stick with 13 and down cars and get your ass to the dealer and get your FBS4 key and stop complaining and talking about how you know how to do it.

Experience for sharing:

even if u can afford the price for the equipment and software u still will need to have a LSID, for us only. outside the US I don’t know if they even allow aftermarket to do keys with their software.

The dealer do them all time, easy!

Mb service account, vat number, dbs certificate and correct insurance. Mercedes will authorize you. order FBS 4, to chassis via security portal or thur dealer.

Let’s take a look at what most locksmiths are going to do:

Conclusion 1:

I would put money on Abrites or Diagspeed to come up with a solution soon. And I would also put money on the Chinese swiftly copying that.

Conclusion 2.

The server needed to calculate is so expensive it’s likely gonna be a while before anyone comes up with solution. No way to pay for that server unless they charge $20k for the tool

No way to do FBS4 except Mercedes Dealers

Someone told with an online xentry account will be ok

But online access need to have the permission to Programm fsb4 keys. Mercedes-Benz don’t allow personal to do it , If you get the permission all your personal data and stuff are required to the database. So Mercedes-Benz can recognized who and when programmed a fsb4 key and for what reason

then you will get in trouble

Only can do it by Mercedes Benz dealers now

This is not a technical issue

This is a problem authorized by Mercedes-Benz

So currently no equipment can support FBS4 Program .
